The new poster of Festival
On Friday, September 6th 2013 in Athens, Greece will take place the “1st International Panorama of Scientific and Ecological films” at the Athens Municipality Hall of “Antonis Tritsis” hosted by the 3rd Athens International Digital Film Festival in collaboration with Wildlife Vaasa Festival in Finland.
It will include a special screening program that aims to contribute to the dissemination of science through the power of new media and digital technologies followed by a panel discussion that focuses on the role of film festivals today in disseminating and providing public awareness concerning science and technology issues of common interest.
The program is curated by the artistic directors of the two festivals Christos N. Karakassis (3rd Digital Film Festival of Athens) and Ilias Missyris (Wildlife Vaasa Festival in Finland) with the support and contribution of Ya’an Panda Animal and Nature Film Festival (Ya’an, China) and Wildlife Conservation Film Festivals (New York, USA).
The screenings will start at 13:00 and the panel discussion at 19:30. The panel will consist by Christos N. Karakasis Full Producer Director, Ilias Missyris Artistic Director at Wildlife Vaasa Finland, Valia Koutsouri Engineer, Melina Kyzeridi environmentalist and Dr Athena Progiou environmental Engineer.
The event will be opened to the wide public and the media.
